In this policy, "Beacon", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Celexly, the provider of the Beacon extension. "You" refers to the person who installs or purchases Beacon.
Beacon is an accessibility auditing tool. This policy explains exactly what data the extension does and does not handle. In short: Beacon does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data or your browsing activity.
When you click the Beacon icon or press its shortcut on a web page, Beacon analyzes that page's HTML and styles inside your browser to detect accessibility issues. All analysis happens locally on your device. Page content is never sent to us or to any third party.
None. Beacon has no analytics, no tracking, no remote logging, and no user accounts for its core functionality.
Beacon uses the browser's storage to save, on your own device and browser profile only:
This data stays in your browser. If you enable browser sync, it may sync across your own signed-in browsers through your browser vendor's infrastructure. You can clear it at any time from the extension's settings ("Reset settings") or by removing the extension.
If you add pages to monitoring, Beacon re-runs the same on-device audit on those pages on a schedule you choose, and records only the score and issue counts to your local history. This happens entirely within your browser; nothing is sent to us. To check a page or its links, Beacon may request that page over the network from your own browser, the same way visiting it would. We do not receive the results.
Optional paid plans are handled by ExtensionPay, which processes payments through Stripe. When you choose to upgrade, Beacon contacts ExtensionPay solely to create and verify your license. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Please see the ExtensionPay and Stripe privacy policies for how they handle payment information.
We do not use page content for any purpose other than showing you the audit on your screen. We do not share or sell any data. There is no advertising. Reports, statements, and VPAT/ACR documents you generate are created on your device and are yours to keep and distribute as you choose.
Because Beacon does not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no account data for us to access, correct, or delete. Any data Beacon stores lives on your device and is fully under your control. If you have questions about your data, contact us using the details below.
Beacon is a digital product that is delivered and usable immediately upon purchase. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you are receiving immediate access to the paid features and you agree that the purchase is non-refundable.
Initiating a card chargeback instead of contacting us may result in your license being revoked. If you believe you were charged in error or have a billing problem, please contact us first and we will do our best to help.
You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time:
After cancelling, you will not be charged again, and your Pro features will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which the extension returns to the free tier.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of Beacon after a change means you accept the updated policy.
