Privacy Policy

DIM, a Celexly product, does not collect, transmit, or sell your browsing data. The extension does not send your history, page content, keystrokes, or location anywhere. The only time DIM contacts a server is to check whether you have bought Pro. This policy applies to the DIM Chrome extension, DIM, Screen Dimmer and Gradient Overlay.

What DIM does not do

No analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or advertising.
No collection of browsing history, page content, form data, or keystrokes.
No location access. The optional sunrise and sunset schedule is calculated on your own device from your timezone and a latitude you type in yourself.
No sale or sharing of personal data with data brokers or advertisers.
No account, no sign-up, and no email required to use the free version.

What is stored, and where

Your settings (dim level, warmth, colour tones, gradients, schedules, per-site rules, and saved profiles) are stored by Chrome on your own machine using chrome.storage.sync. If you have Chrome Sync switched on, Chrome may replicate that data across your own signed-in devices. That is handled entirely by Google Chrome under Google's own privacy policy. Celexly has no server, no database, and no access to it.

Uninstalling DIM removes this data from your machine.

Payments, the one exception

If you buy DIM Pro, payment is handled by ExtensionPay, which processes payments through Stripe. This matters, so to be exact:

DIM never sees your card details. Your card number is entered on a page hosted by ExtensionPay and Stripe, never inside the extension.
To know whether you have paid, DIM asks ExtensionPay's server. It does this when Chrome starts, roughly once an hour, and when you open the DIM popup or Options.
That request contains only an anonymous key that ExtensionPay generated for your installation. It carries nothing about your browsing.
The response tells DIM whether the installation has paid, which plan, the subscription status, and the email you used at checkout. Your email is shown in Options so you can recognise your own account. It is not used for anything else and is not sent anywhere else.
ExtensionPay and Stripe are separate companies and hold your purchase record under their own policies. See the ExtensionPay privacy policy and the Stripe privacy policy.

Every network request DIM can make goes to a single domain, extensionpay.com. There are no others.

Permissions, and why each one exists

Permission	Why DIM needs it
`storage`	Save your dim level, warmth, presets, per-site rules and schedule on your device.
`tabs`	Read the active tab's hostname so per-site rules apply to the right site, send live dim updates to the page, and reload a tab when you use the "Refresh it" fixer. Only the hostname is used and it never leaves your device.
`alarms`	A timer so the schedule can ramp dimming in and out, and to check your purchase status periodically.
`idle`	The optional "undim when I step away" setting.
`notifications`	The optional eye-rest, blink and posture reminders.
`contextMenus`	The right-click menu (toggle, dim more or less, pause, never dim this site).
Access to all websites	A screen dimmer has to be able to draw its overlay on whichever page you choose to dim, and DIM cannot know in advance which pages those are. The content script only adds a non-interactive overlay. It does not read, collect, or transmit page content.

Children

DIM is a utility for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Your data rights

Because Celexly holds no data about you, there is nothing on our side to export or delete. To remove your local settings, uninstall the extension. For your purchase record (email and payment history), contact ExtensionPay or Stripe, or write to us at the address below and we will pass the request on.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what data is handled, the "last updated" date above will change and the change will be noted in the extension's listing.

Refund Policy

All sales are final. DIM Pro purchases are not refundable.

DIM Pro is delivered digitally and unlocks immediately once payment is confirmed, so purchases are not refundable. Please make sure DIM suits you before buying. The free version is fully functional and unlimited in time, and it includes the dimming engine itself: dimming below your screen's minimum, warmth, colour tones, the gradient overlay, the vignette, grayscale, keyboard shortcuts and the eye-rest reminders. Pro adds convenience and automation features on top.

Subscriptions

Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time, from "Restore or manage" in DIM's Options, or in the popup.
When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. It then returns to the free version automatically.
Cancelling does not refund the current or any previous period, and part-used periods are not refunded pro rata.

Lifetime purchase

The lifetime plan is a single payment and does not renew or expire. It is likewise not refundable.

If something is broken

If Pro does not unlock after a successful payment, or a feature does not work as described, contact us first. We will try to fix it or restore your access. Technical problems are not a reason to charge back before giving us a chance to help.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy removes any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law that applies where you live, and where such a right applies it overrides this policy.
