Refund Policy

Short version: the game is free to try, and the optional DLC is a one-time purchase that is final.

All DLC sales are final. We do not offer refunds, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Why

The core game is completely free to play, so you can evaluate it fully before deciding to buy anything. The DLC is a digital good that unlocks instantly and permanently on purchase. Because it is delivered and consumed immediately, purchases are non-refundable.

What the DLC is

A single one-time purchase (not a subscription, no recurring charges).
It unlocks three extra game modes: Daily Challenge, Boss Rush, and Survival.
Once purchased, it is yours permanently and can be restored on your other devices.

If something went wrong

If you paid but the DLC did not unlock, or you were charged more than once, that is not a refund situation, it is a fix, and we want to help. Use Restore purchase in the game's unlock screen first. If that does not resolve it, contact us (below) and we will restore your access.

Payment processing

Payments are handled by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Any statutory rights you have under your local consumer-protection laws are unaffected by this policy.

Privacy Policy

Dying Spark is a single-player game that runs on your device. It does not collect, sell, or share your personal information, and it has no analytics, tracking, telemetry, or advertising.

What the game stores (on your device only)

All normal gameplay is fully offline. The only data saved is local game state: your settings, keybindings, high scores, progression, and, if you buy the DLC, a flag remembering that you own it. It is stored with chrome.storage.local on your own machine and never leaves your device. You can erase it anytime via Settings → Clear all saved data, or by removing the extension.

The one exception: the optional DLC purchase

The game is free to play. It offers an optional one-time DLC purchase, handled by ExtensionPay (which uses Stripe). This is the only feature that uses the network.

When you choose to buy the DLC (or press Restore purchase), the extension contacts https://extensionpay.com to create/verify an anonymous purchase key and check whether the DLC has been paid for. That is the only server it ever contacts.
Payment details are entered on ExtensionPay/Stripe's own checkout page. The extension never sees, handles, or stores your card information.
ExtensionPay stores an anonymous identifier and your paid status so your purchase can be restored. See ExtensionPay's privacy policy.
If you never buy the DLC, the extension makes no network requests at all and runs entirely offline.

The extension does not access your browsing history, your tabs' contents, or data on any website other than the ExtensionPay checkout domain.

Permissions

storage: to save your settings, scores, progression, and DLC-owned flag locally.
https://extensionpay.com/*: used solely to verify a one-time DLC purchase through ExtensionPay. It is not used on any other website.

Content note

This game contains stylized violence and gore (adjustable in Settings, including off). This may affect its store maturity rating.
