LockIN Policies

Privacy Policy

LockIN, a Celexly product, is a focus and productivity extension for Chrome. It has no account system and no servers of its own. Your tasks, notes, journal, habits and focus history are written to your own browser and stay there. We do not collect, sell, rent or transmit your personal information, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind in the extension.

What LockIN stores, and where

Everything LockIN records is stored using Chrome's own extension storage on your computer. There is no LockIN account, no login, and no LockIN server that receives your data.

Held in chrome.storage.local, and staying on that device:

Held in chrome.storage.sync: your preferences (theme, timer lengths, enabled features, and the optional display name you may type in for the greeting) and your Pro entitlement status. See the note below.

A note on Chrome Sync

Your preferences and Pro status are kept in chrome.storage.sync so that if you use Chrome on more than one computer, LockIN looks and behaves the same on each. That is a feature built into Chrome itself. If you have Chrome Sync switched on, Google synchronises that small block of settings between the Chrome profiles you are signed in to, under Google's own privacy policy. If Chrome Sync is off, it stays on this device like everything else.

To be clear about what this does and does not mean: it never includes your notes, tasks, journal, browsing, blocking rules or focus history. It is limited to preferences and your entitlement. LockIN itself never receives any of it, and we have no way to read it.

What LockIN does not do

Payments

Your control over your data

Because we never receive your data, we cannot retrieve it, restore it or delete it on your behalf. Please keep your own backups.

Children

LockIN is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Since it collects nothing, there is nothing for us to hold in any case.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the "Last updated" date above changes with it and the updated version is posted on this page.

Permissions, and why each one exists

Refund and Cancellation Policy

All purchases are final and we do not issue refunds. You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancelling stops it renewing. It does not produce a refund, and you keep Pro until the period you have already paid for runs out.

No refunds

All payments for LockIN Pro, whether monthly, yearly or the one-time lifetime purchase, are final and non-refundable. This includes partly used subscription periods, and periods you did not use at all.

The whole of LockIN's core is free and always will be. Please use it for as long as you need to decide whether Pro is worth it to you before you buy.

Cancelling a subscription

Lifetime purchases

The lifetime option is a single payment with nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. Like the subscriptions, it is non-refundable.

Failed or duplicate charges

If you have been charged twice for the same thing, or believe a payment was taken in error, get in touch and we will look into it. Genuine billing errors are not covered by the no-refunds policy above.

Your legal rights

Nothing here removes any right you have under the consumer law that applies where you live, where that right cannot be waived by agreement. Where such a law gives you a right to a refund, that law takes precedence over this policy.
